The agent is the one who saves the writer from his solitary craft. A good agent can change your life, but a bad one can ruin it. I have mixed feelings about them. I've had two, and I suppose my mistake was being too impatient. In fiction, they say you have to wait five years to see results! Ha!
I was surprised to see him in the hot seat again. Interesting to look at this in retrospect -- including that he predicted some 300,000 deaths from COVID in US, when according to The World in Data, COVID deaths in the US were over a million -- so he wasn't exaggerating...
They’re trying to change the subject. I (foolishly) read the transcript of the 14 hour grilling he received six months ago—-that the GOP decided to release yesterday—-all of which to learn (again) what a hero he has been for our country, and that the CDC (not Fauci) made the six foot rule. (How can Jim Jordan stand himself? Doesn’t bullying and hate get boring? 🤣)
I’ve never had an agent but it sounds to me as though maybe I ought to start attending a seance and commune with Bill! How wonderfully you’ve added to the celebration of his life, Melissa!
